Why We Built This Site
Minnesota releases a good deal of court data, but knowing which office holds the piece you need is the harder problem. A warrant does not live in one spot. The judge who issues it sets the charge and the bail, the Sheriff's Office serves it and can say whether it is still outstanding, and Court Administration keeps the case file in Suite #250 of the Government Center in Baudette.
Minnesota also folded its municipal and justice-of-the-peace courts into the state district court system, so there is no city warrant desk to call in Baudette or Williams. Check one office, find nothing, and it is easy to conclude you are clear when you are not. Court Administration keeps criminal, traffic, juvenile, family, and civil records and issues warrants, subpoenas, and executions on judgments, while the Sheriff's Office handles detention and law enforcement records. We put those contacts, search steps, and request forms together so a reader does not have to guess.

What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. We are not connected to any Minnesota court, the Lake of the Woods County Sheriff's Office, or any county, state, or federal agency, and there are firm limits on what we can do:
- We cannot confirm whether a warrant exists for anyone, because we have no access to any warrant system
- We cannot remove, recall, quash, or clear a warrant, which only the issuing court can do
- We cannot accept payment or post bond for anyone
- We cannot arrange a court date, a surrender, or a booking plan
- We cannot advise you on how a warrant, charge, or bond applies to your situation
- We cannot promise that every phone number, fee, or office hour on this site is current right now
Only the issuing court or the sheriff's office that holds the record can confirm whether a warrant is active, served, recalled, or sealed. We can point you to that office, but the answer has to come from them.
Search Partners
Some pages here carry search boxes that outside companies operate. Those companies run their own services and set their own prices, and when one of those tools leads to a paid signup we may earn a referral fee. That revenue is what keeps this site free to read. We do not control the results those tools return, and their data is not an official warrant check.
